The Daily Show’s Wyatt Cenac reported Monday on the similarities between gay rights and gun rights.

“More and more American are becoming comfortable living alternative lifestyles in public,” Jon Stewart said, opening the segment.

John Pierce, a Virginia resident, explains the discrimination he feels on a daily basis. “We want gun ownership and gun carry to come out of the closet,” he told Cenac. “The struggle that open carriers have has parallels with the struggles gay and lesbian couples face.”
