New Gay Owned and Operated Cafe Opens in Rhode Island
Wednesday, November 18th, 2009Looking for a place to grab a quick bite at a good price? Stop by The Chestnut Street Cafe. Gay owner/operator Steven Archambault announced the opening of his new cafe, named the Chestnut Street Cafe, located in scenic downtown Providence, Rhode Island.
Steven states, ” The downtown area has needed a new place to eat for a very long time. The downtown area is very eclectic and full of energy, we needed a cafe that could take that energy and turn it into amazing food.”
He goes on to explain, “The Chestnut Street Cafe will not only have the cafe classics like rubens, burgers and pancakes, but it will also transcend culinary cafe borders offering flavor profiles never seen before. All at cafe prices that everyone can afford, from the college student, to the tourist. My goal was to provide exceptional food, that removed itself from the downtown cafe stereotype. By combining many different types of cuisine, I can provide my diners with an experience they will never forget!”

We can’t wait to try it out. Look for our review early next week!

I was able to visit The Chestnut Street Cafe today. The staff is super friendly, the location is great, and the grilled cheese with bacon on rye was very good. The bacon is the high quality kind not that generic stuff most eateries serve.. I also enjoyed the pumpkin spice coffee! It was much better than that of several coffee chains…

Place was great!!! I was there today and they were very very busy for lunch, despite that the waitress was very friendly and the food came out quick. Steve was cooking and he looked like he was having a good time. Nice place great art… I highly suggest it….
